Goodbye New Hampshire Prescribers

We can now scratch New Hampshire off the list of states that will allow their physicians to be targeted by their prescribing habits and history. The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a case brought by two leading data publishing companies that challenged New Hampshire’s law to restrict sales of prescriber-identifiable data.

Celebrity and the Pharmacy

As I read the latest news about Michael Jackson’s passing and today’s revelation that Los Angeles police investigators are searching for the pop icon’s attending physician for questioning, I can’t help but wonder if Jackson suffered the same fate as Anna Nicole Smith. She succumbed to a lethal cocktail of prescription medication while under the care of a doctor and supposed loved ones.
