Dental hygienists and dental assistants are excellent prospects for uniforms, continuing education, professional literature, journals, recruiting and much more.
Dental hygienists are licensed oral health professionals who focus on preventing and treating oral diseases both to protect teeth and gums, and also to protect patients’ total health. They can work as clinicians, educators, researchers, administrators, managers, preventive program developers, consumer advocates, and sales and marketing managers.
Dental assistants might work with the dentist as well as manage the business aspects of the practice such as scheduling, billing and purchasing. In larger practices the duties may be more specialized. Many assistants are qualified to take X-rays. In most dental offices, the dental assistant is in charge of infection control procedures, which are closely regulated by OSHA.
