This video explains the contract that SK&A was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) on Feb. 4, 2011. From now until 2014, SK&A will provide the ONC with ongoing survey information about the adoption, usage and planned usage of electronic health records (EHR) by physicians in U.S. medical offices. Watch this video to learn more details about this landmark project and SK&A’s in-depth research on national EHR adoption.
This video takes you inside SK&A to show you how its data are acquired, verified and delivered to customers. To ensure data accuracy, the team in the SK&A Research Center, located in Irvine, Calif., calls and verifies every single record in its database of over two million healthcare providers every six months. Meet the individuals who manage each primary database (Office-Based Physician, Hospital and Pharmacy), the team of Research Associates, the custom market research supervisor, and the customer service manager who make sure data orders endure the test of quality before they’re delivered.
This video features one of SK&A’s actual Research Associates calling and updating a file for SK&A’s Office-Based Physician database. Watch the Research Associate speak with a doctor's office in Monroeville, Pa., updating site information such as mailing and billing addresses, titles, hospital affiliation, practice specialty, if the office uses EHR, and much more. SK&A’s Research Center administers 6,600 phone calls just like this one every business day. Each site in the SK&A database goes through this update process every six months.
